Lupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body. Many patients with Lupus have a rash and no further symptoms. Less often Lupus causes damage throughout the body causing pain and problems varying from headaches and seizures, chest pain, difficulty breathing, blood clots, kidney failure and dialysis. Lupus is controllable with medication and partnership with your healthcare provider.
