How does Dr. Baak utilize musculoskeletal ultrasound?

An ultrasound procedure  consists of an ultrasound technician using a probe and ultrasound gel directly on the skin. High-frequency sound waves are then transmitted through the probe and gel into the body. A computer then uses the information from the "bounce back" of the sound waves to create an image. This procedure is noninvasive and allows for images of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and soft tissue to be examined in the body.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound is a painless, quick, and state-of-the-art, procedure that Dr. Baak offers on site at the Arthritis Center. This procedure consists of Dr. Baak utilizing ultrasound technology to diagnose conditions. Ultrasound results are used to guide treatment to optimize the patient experience. Dr. Baak also uses Ultrasound images while giving injections to ensure the most pain-free and accurate outcome.
